MEET THE BAND
At 17, a friend convinced her to audition for the popular local band "The Mary Jane Band" as a back-up vocalist. She got the job and from then on she was hooked! She had the knack for harmony and sang backup for Mary Jane Price who Laura refers to as one of her mentors. Then in the early 80's she recorded High Energy Dance music as Lauren Grey. She toured coast to coast singing in dance clubs. Several of her recordings actually charted on the Billboard Dance Chart! During that period she hooked up with one of her now lifelong friends and mentors Leah Landis. Laura later joined Leah in the very successful local band Johnny Favorite who's members included some of the original members of The Lovers. Johnny Favorite even once performed at the famed Roxy on the sunset strip in LA . Then life happened she got married and had two wonderful children and put music on the backburner for a few years. Kids now all grown, she is excited to be back on stage with the talented musicians of All Jacked Up entertaining enthusiastic crowds in southwestern Ohio!
Mike played in garage bands through high school at various local events and private parties. A few years later, he traveled in a show band and played all over the country for 3 years. After returning home to Dayton, he played in the local band Sunrise for 4 years at a club called Little Abners in Huber Heights. For the next 10 years he played with several local bands, Six Pack, County Line Express, and Night Moves. Then it was time to put music on hold for a while to spend more time with his wife and son. Mike has recently decided to return to playing music and is enjoying meeting new people and friends, and seeing friends he has met through the years once again.
Mark's infatuation with music lead him to a career in radio. Mark has worked for some of the best radio stations in the area including 104.7 WTUE, MIX 107.7, K99.1, 1290 WHIO, 102.7 WEBN, and 700WLW. Mark started playing bass shortly after high school in a few garage bands but soon put the guitar down to raise a family with his wife, Deborah, in Bellbrook. He picked the guitar back up in 2002 and has since played with several local groups including: My Liquid Courage, Something Random, Shadowlife, and The Nick Cardilino Band (where he got to play on stage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland!)
